Job Summary
Senior Helpers Portland West a family-owned and operated home care agency is hiring a dedicated part-time caregiver to support a senior in Oregon City. About the Client:
This client has dementia and requires a caregiver who is:
- Patient calm and confident with personal care
- Creative in engaging the client in activities and conversation
- Positive empathetic and emotionally steady
Please note:The home includes a large dog and a cat so comfort with pets is essential. The location is in the countryside so reliable transportation and a willingness to drive there are required.
Position Details
- Schedule: 15 hours/week to start with potential to increase to 2530 hours/week
- Pay: $18.50$20/hour
- Location: Oregon City
Responsibilities
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (bathing dressing mobility)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
- Drive the client to appointments and errands
- Monitor health and communication with family and care team
Requirements
- Ability to perform personal care tasks confidently
- Must be 18 have a valid drivers license auto insurance and a reliable vehicle
- Previouscaregiving experience preferred but training is provided
