Job Summary

- Support and optimize SAP data archiving processes to ensure compliance data integrity and system performance.
- Execute and monitor regular SAP archiving runs for various SAP objects ensuring successful completion and resolving issues.
- Configure and manage SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) policies including data retention legal holds and data destruction.
- Ensure adherence to legal and business data retention requirements (e.g. GDPR local regulations).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and refine data retention periods and compliance policies.
- Support decommissioning of legacy systems using SAP ILM Retention Warehouse functionalities.
- Utilize SAP ILM for blocking and deleting personal data to ensure data privacy.
- Analyze data volumes and trends to identify archiving opportunities and manage database growth.
- Develop strategies for optimizing data storage and reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) through effective archiving and ILM practices.
- Generate and maintain reports and comprehensive documentation for archiving activities ILM compliance and operational procedures.
- Work with 3rd party archiving solutions (e.g. Easy Archive Server OpenText Archive Center PBS); knowledge of SAP xECM is a plus.
- Collaborate effectively with technical and business teams to ensure successful data lifecycle management.
