Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Professor for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in Boise Idaho. This part-time on-campus position involves providing classroom lab and clinical instruction to nursing students while fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes academic and professional success.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing education a commitment to student development and the ability to teach and mentor future nurses effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse educator or a practicing RN with teaching experience to contribute to the next generation of nursing professionals.
Responsibilities:

Provide instruction in nursing courses including classroom lab and clinical settings following the approved course outlines.

Facilitate student learning evaluate student performance and ensure achievement of course objectives.

Supervise debrief and assess students in clinical and simulated learning environments.
-
Maintain accurate attendance and grade records submitting all required documentation in accordance with program policies.
-
Collaborate with other faculty in preparing administering and grading course examinations and evaluations.
-
Participate in orientation and mentoring of new faculty faculty meetings and program committees.
-
Engage in continuous professional development and maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and education techniques.

Advise students and provide academic support to promote success and retention.

Ensure classrooms labs and clinical sites are organized safe and conducive to learning.

Utilize teaching methods and technologies that support adult learning and interactive engagement.

Assist with program planning data collection and reports as required by academic leadership.
Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with a current unencumbered license in the state of Idaho.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required or BSN with prior teaching experience and currently enrolled in an MSN program.

Meets all faculty qualifications as outlined by the state Board of Nursing.

Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing practice clinical instruction and adult learning principles.

Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Experience with instructional technology and Microsoft Office applications.
-
At least one year of experience in nursing education preferred.
