Role Overview

The focus of this role is to help document label and clean up network cabling infrastructure across multiple data closets.

You will:

Document existing copper and fiber connections in network closets
Update Excel spreadsheets and maintain network documentation
Use a laptop and label printer to label fiber patch panels and cables
Perform light cleanup and improve cable management
Notify the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure of any issues or concerns

Skills & Requirements

Good visual acuity to read and verify existing labels
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel OneDrive Teams Word)
Understanding of fiber cabling types (single vs multimode) and connectors (ST SC LC MPO RJ45)
Ability to trace cables currently in use
Organized detail-oriented and proactive
