Data Collection: Unit Information: HCA Houston Healthcare West Location: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Address: Floor: 3rd Building: Main General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds 20 private beds Number of Staff 18 RN FTE (total staff with therapy and nursing is 60) Type of staff: 1 CNC 2-3 RNs 1-2 CNAs for day and night o Day Shift (example 1 charge 3 RN 2 CNA and 1-3 sitters) o Night Shift - same Patient Ratios 5:1 on average with sometimes 6:1 if short. Type of equipment standard nursing equipment plus rehab equipment for transfers etc. EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Start/stop IVs wound care telemetry Foley care and standard Medsurg unit nursing skills are a must Medication pass Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Prior Inpatient Rehab Facility or Skilled Nursing Unit experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Mobilization of patients to bathrooms dressing out of bed mobility. Daily medication distribution education on medication reconciliation nursing care for DC home Best personality Fit: Open to learn rehab outgoing energetic fun REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS (ACLS preferred) Nursing license Floating Area(s): Med surg possible Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Royal blue Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
