Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Surgical/Cardiac Neuro RN to join our dynamic team. As a Registered Nurse on this unit you will provide high-quality care to adult patients with a variety of medical and neurological conditions including cardiac and stroke-related cases. You will work in a collaborative patient-centered environment with a team committed to excellence in clinical care and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Collect comprehensive and relevant health data from patients.
Perform accurate and timely clinical assessments and implement care plans.
Monitor patients conditions and recognize signs of deterioration including critical vital signs.
Advocate for patient needs and participate as an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team.
Identify expected outcomes and individualize plans of care.
Manage medications procedures and treatments; provide patient and family education.
Ensure efficient use of time supplies and resources.
Support patient safety and satisfaction throughout the care continuum.
Maintain professional documentation and adhere to best practices and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required
- BSN preferred
Licensure:
- Active Florida RN License or Multistate Compact RN License
- (Compact license holders must obtain Florida RN license within 60 days of relocation)
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification Required within 30 days of hire
Experience:
- 1 year of Recent (within the last year or 2) Acute Care RN experience Preferred.
- Telemetry experience is required
- Will also consider candidates with acute rehab experience (e.g. Kindred Encompass HealthSouth Select Specialty) especially those comfortable working in a stroke unit
