Job Summary
Open Heart CVOR- Registered Nurse
Location: Kissimmee FL 34741
Employment Type: Permanent
Shift: 12-hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols of the facility.
- Assist surgeons in the CVOR with complex open-heart procedures including CABG valve replacements and other cardiac surgeries.
- Monitor patient condition intraoperatively and respond to critical situations with precision and urgency.
- Maintain and prepare surgical instruments and equipment specific to open-heart procedures.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical team members including surgeons anesthesiologists and surgical techs.
- Ensure the CVOR environment remains sterile and compliant with all infection control protocols.
- Participate in continued education and maintain current knowledge in cardiac surgical procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Open Heart (CVOR) RN experience in an acute care setting Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida or ability to obtain prior to start Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- Certifications Required:
- BLS Basic Life Support (AHA)
- ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA)
- CNOR Certified Perioperative Nurse Preferred
