Job Summary

Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Onsite St. Louis MO or Mt. Sterling IL (Must relocate to St. Louis before Day 1 relocation at own expense)
Term: 1 Year Contract (Possible Conversion after 6 Months)

Role Overview:
Dot Foods is seeking a Data Engineer who is analytical detail-oriented and enjoys solving complex data challenges. This role involves designing testing and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator eager to grow long-term with the company.

Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain data pipelines for analytics and reporting
Automate data extraction transformation and loading (ETL/ELT) processes from diverse sources such as APIs databases and legacy systems
Build and optimize Snowflake Data Warehouses ensuring security performance and governance
Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts and integration workflows
Collaborate with business and IT teams to improve data accessibility and system efficiency
Support machine learning/AI data pipelines and cloud-based data operations
Apply Lean and Agile methodologies to continuously improve data engineering processes

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field
3 years of experience as a Data Engineer (SQL Data Warehousing Analytics)
1 year of hands-on experience with Snowflake
3 years of experience with Python
1 year of experience with Azure or other cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with fluent professional English
Must be willing to relocate to St. Louis MO and work onsite

Preferred Skills:
Experience with IBM Cloud DataStage DB2 or Supply Chain systems
Snowflake Data Engineer Certification is a plus
Strong project planning and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
