Lead QA Engineer

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead end-to-end test automation and quality processes across multiple projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in WebdriverIO with Cucumber or similar -based frameworks as well as Selenium with Java and possesses a strong ability to lead QA teams collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the QA strategy planning and execution for multiple product lines and releases.
  
• Design and implement end-to-end automation frameworks using WebdriverIO Cucumber () and Selenium Java.
  
• Define and enforce automation standards best practices and code quality guidelines.
  
• Collaborate with developers product managers and DevOps teams to ensure seamless CI/CD integration.
  
• Mentor and manage a team of QA engineers conducting code reviews performance evaluations and technical training.
  
• Analyze business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
  
• Manage QA deliverables and timelines ensuring coverage across functional regression performance and integration testing.
  
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership providing clear updates on risks progress and quality metrics.
  
• Continuously improve QA processes through automation tooling and process optimization.
  

Requirements

• 8 years of hands-on experience in software testing and automation.
  
• Strong proficiency with WebdriverIO Cucumber or other -based test frameworks.
  
• Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
  
• Proven track record in building and maintaining automation frameworks for end-to-end testing.
  
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab CI).
  
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  
• Excellent leadership mentorship and communication skills.
  
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.

Good to have

• Exposure to API testing (e.g. Postman RestAssured SuperTest).
  
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter K6).
  
• Familiarity with cloud-based test execution (e.g. BrowserStack Sauce Labs).
  
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
