As a Second Cook at Fairmont you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing and executing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. You will support the chefs in ensuring that all food preparation meets the Fairmont standards for taste quality and presentation.

Rate of Pay: $19.75/hour

Job Duties Include:
- Assist the First Cook and Chefs in food preparation and cooking according to recipes and Fairmont standards.
- Ensure food is presented in an attractive manner and adheres to the established plating standards.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe kitchen environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard
- Ensure proper handling storage and rotation of ingredients and supplies to minimize waste and prevent contamination
- Carry out any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years cooking experience
- Experience in a luxury hotel with comparable service and standards an asset
- Certificate or Diploma from a recognized Culinary School an asset
- Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
