Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager for Transmission Lines and Substations to lead and oversee services projects across HV MV LV underground and overhead transmission lines. There is also the opportunity to manage projects in distribution systems private networks and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In this role you will have the chance to:
Deliver projects that make a tangible impact in communities
Manage a variety of projects within the electric grid space spanning both innovative and established technologies
Location & Travel
This role requires approximately 25% travel to project sites. When not traveling the position is based out of the Walnut Creek office.

You will join a specialized team focused on advanced technology applications in sectors such as advanced manufacturing bio/ag tech data centers distributed infrastructure and generative AI computing. The team is fast-paced innovative and committed to delivering high-impact projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Champion and maintain a strong safety culture
Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals for services projects
Lead project teams through conceptual design and procurement phases of substation projects
Manage project schedule budget and scope of work
Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams external stakeholders and project clients to ensure successful project execution
Work effectively in both corporate office and field environments
Management Responsibilities
Serve as project manager overseeing project teams whose composition may vary depending on the project
Preferred Qualifications
10 years of relevant industry experience including work with high-voltage medium-voltage and low-voltage substations
Experience managing multiple phases of project execution
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field
Professional engineering license (PE or equivalent)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements including background checks drug screening and motor vehicle records verification as applicable
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Hybrid or flexible work options may be available after 90 days based on performance manager discretion and project requirements
Work environments may include typical office settings construction sites extreme weather high-noise areas safety hazards (e.g. electric currents working at heights scaffolding) exposure to chemicals fumes dust or poor ventilation
Physical activities include sitting walking talking hearing reading writing keyboarding driving filing reaching stooping crouching bending standing for extended periods and lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds
