Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapist to provide Specialized Consultative Services for clients with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). This is a contract position that offers flexibility to manage your own schedule and caseload with both in-person and telehealth options available. The role focuses on equipping caregivers and support teams with the tools and training necessary to provide holistic person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver authorized Specialized Consultative Services in client homes or community settings in person or virtually.

Adhere to relevant Clinical Coverage Policies governing training and support for caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Conduct client observations and assessments to determine needs and evaluate the effectiveness of current interventions.

Develop written intervention plans including recommendations for therapeutic strategies assistive technology home or vehicle modifications and preventative or behavioral interventions.
-
Provide training and technical assistance to caregivers and support staff to implement intervention plans effectively.
-
Monitor record and evaluate data related to intervention outcomes and make adjustments as needed.

Participate in team meetings and collaborate with care coordinators and other professionals.
-
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with records management and client rights regulations.

Ensure client privacy confidentiality and safety reporting any incidents or concerns promptly.
Qualifications

Minimum age of 18 years.
-
Current valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

Compliance with all continuing education training and certification requirements.
-
No substantiated findings of abuse neglect or disciplinary actions on record.

Strong communication decision-making and analytical skills.
-
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.

Understanding of Medicaid managed care and I/DD service standards.
