Year 5 Teacher responsibilities
The Year 5 Teacher will plan and teach engaging rigorous lessons that prepare pupils for Year 6.
The Year 5 Teacher will run interventions and lead enrichment in maths and writing.
The Year 5 Teacher will support transition planning and moderate work across the phase.
The Part-Time Year 5 Teacher will maintain communication with parents and attend key events.
Requirements for the Year 5 Teacher
QTS and solid KS2 experience as a Year 5 Teacher.
Evidence of raising attainment as a Year 5 Teacher and ability to work collaboratively.
Approachable organised and reflective practice as a Year 5 Teacher.

This Part-Time Year 5 Teacher post begins January 2026. The Part-Time Year 5 Teacher will have induction and planning time prior to January 2026 and will be part of ongoing CPD after January 2026.
