Position Overview:
We seek to hire a Train Service Technician to inspect maintain and repair trains with a focus on HVAC systems. Hours are day shift (including weekdays weekends and holidays) but can include 3rd or afternoon shift based on operational needs. Your workplace will be in Orlando FL. Flexibility to occasionally fill in at West Palm Beach FL maintenance facility is encouraged. We will provide training through a qualification program.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on the trainset s HVAC systems. Including: Fault diagnostic repair solder and brazing
Perform day-to-day running maintenance and unscheduled repair to a fleet of locomotives coaches and train sets via maintenance instructions from Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Follow all maintenance instructions (wherever available) to enforce to and maintain compliance and high-quality standards
Responsible for always keeping workstations and work areas clean and free of debris
Develop a working relationship with the Customer as an employee and representative of Siemens Mobility
Maintain compliance with all Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) related safety rules laws and regulations
Collaborate with the leadership as needed on all site issues systems and related facility operations
Willing to perform all other functions as needed including forklift operations daily cleaning operations and others as needed.
To thrive in this role you have:
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum of 3 years of working experience as an HVAC technician
Strong background in maintenance and repair of HVAC system
Technical education along with EPA 608/609
Certification experience with electrical systems.
