Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with staff and family to gather background information prior to plan development
- Create individualized behaviour support plans using ABA and verbal behaviour strategies
- Analyse data to identify patterns and triggers of problem behaviours
- Observe individuals in relevant settings to assess behaviour functions
- Define and measure target behaviours using objective data-driven systems
- Design interventions incorporating antecedents teaching methods and consequences
- Ensure interventions align with the function of the behaviour and promote positive change
- Train staff in person on plan implementation providing opportunities for Q&A and feedback
- Monitor behaviour data monthly and document progress
Qualifications
- Must be certified as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
- Proven experience in ABA and behaviour support planning preferred
