Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Network Architect to design implement and optimize our organizations network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure reliability scalability and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop strategic network solutions that support business objectives.

This role focuses on designing local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) including routers switches firewalls and wireless devices within a medium to large enterprise environment. The candidate will also be responsible for datacenter network design and implementing security measures based on audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organizations network infrastructure (LAN WAN WLAN VPN).
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define network architecture objectives.
Design end-to-end network solutions aligned with business needs and future growth.
Create detailed network architecture diagrams documentation and specifications for design plans and implementation strategies.
Evaluate and recommend network hardware software and protocols to improve performance reliability and security.
Lead the implementation and configuration of network components including routers switches firewalls and load balancers.
Design and enforce network security measures such as access controls encryption and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Conduct network performance monitoring and optimization to ensure high availability and uptime.
Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
Stay updated on emerging networking technologies industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

10 years of experience supporting networks and 4 years designing LAN/WAN networks in medium to large environments.
Proven track record as a Network Architect or similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent leadership communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (Masters preferred).
Expertise in enterprise network infrastructure design and management.
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP BGP OSPF MPLS VLANs VPNs.
Experience with network hardware/software such as Cisco Juniper Palo Alto Networks and Arista.
Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Proficiency in network monitoring tools (Wireshark Nagios SolarWinds or equivalent).
Relevant certifications preferred: CCNP JNCIP CISSP.
