Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out FCAW welding in 3G and 4G positions on structural steel hulls and ship components as per project requirements.

  • Read interpret and follow engineering drawings welding symbols and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) accurately.

  • Prepare joints by cleaning beveling and ensuring proper fit-up prior to welding.

  • Ensure welds meet quality requirements in accordance with IACS-approved procedures and classification society standards (ABS BV DNV LR etc.).



Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ITI / Diploma in Welding / Fabrication Trade or equivalent.

  • Minimum 46 years of experience in FCAW structural welding (shipyard offshore or heavy fabrication environment).

  • Must hold valid IACS certification (DNV BV ABS LR or equivalent) for 3G/4G FCAW positions.

  • Experience in ship repair offshore structures or heavy fabrication projects preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of ASME / AWS D1.1 welding codes and procedures.
