Monitor areas where hot work (welding grinding cutting etc.) is being conducted to prevent fire hazards.
Ensure availability and proper use of firefighting equipment such as extinguishers hoses and blankets.
Conduct pre-work inspections to identify fire hazards and ensure safety measures are in place.
Maintain a constant watch during and after hot work operations to detect and respond to sparks flames or smoke.
Communicate and coordinate with site personnel welders and supervisors regarding fire safety.
Follow permit-to-work (PTW) procedures for hot work activities.
Respond immediately to any fire incidents and activate emergency response protocols.
Maintain records of hot work permits inspections and incidents.
Assist in safety drills toolbox talks and HSE trainings.
Ensure personal PPE compliance and adherence to HSE standards at all times.
