Parker Personal Care Homes (PPCH) is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Therapist to provide outpatient person-centered integrated mental health services and treatment to individuals with complex diagnoses in the Pueblo and Colorado Springs Area. Our Behavioral Therapists facilitate individual family and group therapeutic services and will provide therapeutic supervised visits to families involved with the child welfare system. Therapists conduct evaluations assessments therapeutic interventions and case management services and they monitor and ensure the self-worth health safety and welfare of individuals receiving services while ensuring compliance with applicable laws regulations and policies. This is currently a part-time position with the potential to go full-time if there is a future business need. This position is eligible to participate in PPCHs 401(k) retirement plan (including the company match) but is not currently eligible for any other benefits.
Essential Duties:
- Provide a variety of therapeutic mental health and counseling services to adults adolescents and children with intellectual or developmental disabilities traumatic brain injuries behavioral issues or other diagnoses in their homes community settings or PPCH offices.
- Responsible for maintaining a caseload of clients including regular communication with clients and/or caregivers and scheduling appointments.
- Conduct evaluations assessments therapeutic interventions and case management services for clients receiving services.
- Assist with treatment plans discharge plans and follow-up care plans.
- Prepares reports and behavioral plans.
- Effectively builds and maintains case files and related documentation.
- Supportsaccesstoandparticipationinthecommunityaccordingtoapersonsinterests desires behavioral plan and ISSP.
- Modelsrespectfulandtherapeuticsupportaccordingtoapersonsbehavioralplanandindividualneeds teaching respect for others; including those in services staff contractors family team members and all others in the interdisciplinary support team.
- Encourages and supports independent decision-making and self-advocacy.
- Uses appropriate internal and external resources for additional services or interventions as needed.
- Complies with State Federal and PPCH policies procedures guidelines and regulations.
Education and Experience:
- Masters degree in counseling social work or similar field in Human Services.
- Licensed in Colorado as one of the following: LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) LSW (Licensed Social Worker) LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).
- At least three years of professional clinical experience is required.
- Training or education in trauma-informed therapies is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of community health care community-based residential services and vocational services is preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as effective listening skills with individuals at all levels even when non-traditional communication is used.
- Ability to maintain a caseload of clients.
- Ability to schedule sessions with clients in a variety of locations such as the PPCH offices community locations or client homes.
- Ability to respectfully address significant issues of health and safety while supporting an individuals choices.
- Knowledge and understanding of legal and ethical considerations regarding client rights.
- Ability to administer interpret and evaluate psychological assessments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Skill and ability to constructively receive and provide feedback with clients families colleagues and leadership.
- Valid drivers license and the ability to meet PPCHs driving and insurance requirements.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Workisconductedinprivatehomescommunitysettingsandinofficeenvironments.
- Thispositionmayoccasionallyrequirerespondingtoemergencycallsafternormalbusinesshours.
