We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various cooking techniques menu development and a commitment to food safety and sanitation. As a Cook you will play a vital role in creating delicious and visually appealing dishes that exceed our customers expectations.
Skill Set:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standards before serving.
- Participate in menu planning and development offering suggestions for new dishes and seasonal changes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and restock inventory ensuring the kitchen is adequately supplied at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to optimize workflow and maintain strong communication.
- Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff promoting teamwork and culinary skill development.
- Handle kitchen equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Support special events and catering orders as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Proven experience in a cook or kitchen role preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Creative flair and a passion for culinary arts.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
**Working Conditions:**
- Fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Requires standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects when necessary.
- Flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
