In this position...

Ford Powertrain Calibration team is looking for a qualified candidate to join the Large Gas Feature section to develop powertrain applications. Ford Powertrain Calibrators work in a team environment to deliver production ready powertrain calibrations on time with efficiency and quality responsibilities are based in laboratory may require travel for in-vehicle development at test facilities in Michigan Arizona Colorado Florida and Canada. Interested candidates do not require Calibration experience but it is certainly a who apply should be willing to grow learn and develop into a powertrain calibration engineer in a very exciting demanding and fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities

What youll do...

  • Calibration and development of leading-edge Powertrains and aftertreatment technologies for PM NOx HC and CO reduction for gasoline powertrains to meet global emissions and OBD requirements
  • Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance fuel economy emissions diagnostics NVH) on vehicles and in engine dynamometer test cells
  • Modify powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy performance emissions and diagnostics
  • Design and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy performance emissions and diagnostics
  • Conduct vehicle testing and development at remote locations in Arizona Colorado and Northern Canada


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2 years of experience in Powertrain Calibration
  • 1 years experience with one more of the following software tools: ETAS ATI or MATLAB
  • 3 years of experience with calibration and development of leading edge aftertreatment technologies for PM NOx HC and CO reduction for gasoline powertrains to meet global emissions and OBD requirements

This position is a salary grade 6-8.
