Job Summary

Kyowa Kirin is a fast-growing global specialty pharmaceutical company that applies state-of-the-art biotechnologies to discover and deliver novel medicines in four disease areas: bone and mineral; intractable hematologic; hematology oncology; and rare disease. A Japan-based company our goal is to translate science into smiles by delivering therapies where no adequate treatments currently exist working from drug discovery to product development and North America we are headquartered in Princeton NJ with offices in California North Carolina and Mississauga Ontario.

We are seeking talented highly motivated university students for our Translational Research department to participate in omics analysis of clinical trial data. The goal is to understand the relationship between gene and protein expression genomic variation and response/resistance to therapeutic interventions ultimately improving clinical response success rates.

This is a paid temporary internship open to rising juniors or seniors within a commutable distance of Princeton NJ. The role is hybrid with 23 days on-site preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Download prepare datasets and analyze omics and genetic screening data.
  • Utilize bioinformatics web tools and participate in the development of genomics data analytics processes including AI/ML-based predictive analytics.
  • Participate in meetings with vendors and manage data transfer quality control and data reconciliation activities with vendors and CROs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the US and Japan.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Rising junior or senior in college/university with a major in Molecular Biology Proteomics Bioinformatics Biostatistics or related Biological Science degree.
  • Experience or interest in bioinformatics genomics multi-omics cancer research and AI/ML tools for predictive modeling
  • Prior industry experience is desirable
  • Good understanding of advanced molecular biology techniques and applications (NGS gene expression methods/tools).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with R Python SAS/JMP and other preferred computational tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts efficiently.
  • Availability to work from May 26 2026 to August 13 2026.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Princeton NJ.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without sponsorship.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position will be $21.00 to $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered for this role at commencement of employment may vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience skill set qualifications education (including applicable licenses and certifications job-based knowledge location and other business and organizational needs.
