As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Legal & Regulatory Control Operations team youwill be an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
- Full stack development including designing and building AWS Cloud solutions
- Script in SQL Oracle
- Utilize monitoring tools such as Cloud Watch Dynatrace and Splunk
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Advanced in one or more programming languages frameworks and tools (i.e. Python Groovy Java UI in Java Script React/Angular Spring boot Micro services REST API Development Design Patterns JPA Junit LOG4J etc.)
- Hands on experience working on writing SQL queries (Oracle)
- Strong hands on experience designing and building solutions on AWS including services (EC2 S3 MSK Lambda ELB ECS EKS etc.)
- Hands on experience on developmental toolsets (IntelliJ or Eclipse SOAP UI or Postman)
- Experience with source code management (GIT branches GIT commands Maven build concepts CI/CD)
- Experience with cloud-based technologies (Cloud Foundry Kubernetes AWS Google etc.)
- Strong drive and ability to learn and apply new/emerging technologies
- Experience mentoring junior team members for career growth
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with Splunk Dynatrace Atlassian Tools (JIRA Bit bucket Confluence)
- Knowledge of Experimentation Chaos Engineering Fault Injection and (FMEA)
- Strong understanding of (Kafka OAuth / Open ID / Windows ADFS)
- Strong Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Cloud Watch Dynatrace Splunk and Open Telemetry)
- Hands-on experience of Micro services Data usage patterns Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)
- Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture capture and share best-practice knowledge across teams
- Demonstrated the ability to make decisions from research and articulate several options with the pros and cons
