BACKGROUND
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) a highly prestigious reputable & worlds largest humanitarian organization operating in more than 120 countries and territories bringing life-saving assistance in emergencies building pathways to peace stability and prosperity for people recovering from conflict disasters and the impact of climate change and supporting sustainable and resilient livelihoods for a world with zero hunger.
The Management Services Division (MSD) seeks digital solutions to meet the organizations growing demands and drive digital transformation initiatives.
The Senior Digital Manager will work within the MSDB branch to support digital transformation projects critical for the efficient functioning of various service lines including Accommodation Mobility Aviation Asset Management Facilities Fleet Travel Management Occupational Safety and Health Engineering and Environmental Sustainability.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
We are looking for an experienced Digital Manager to oversee the development of current and new digital solutions to innovate service provisioning simplify business processes increase accountability create efficiency gains and foster a data-driven decision-making culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management: o Manage digital transformation projects supporting business functions in formulatingBusiness Requirements for the digitalization of services through process analysis and business case proposals.
oHarmonize requirements from various business lines to achieve standardization reusability of componentsand economy of scale reducing lead time.
Coordinate the pool of external developers per service line across WFP internal functions and UN Agencies monitor performance and ensure knowledge sharing and retention within WFP.
User Experience and Design: o Ensure customer journey excellence with a consistent UX/UI tailored toservice uniqueness and stakeholder needs.
oCooperate with solution designers and system architects to ensure digital designs cover businessrequirements and are future proof.
Customer Focus: o Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering digital solutions that meet userneeds and expectations.
oAct as a point of contact for stakeholders to address concerns and gather feedback for continuousimprovement.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: o Monitor the performance of digital solutions and projects usingKPIs and metrics to measure success.
oProvide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress performance andoutcomes.
Documentation and Compliance: o Maintain updated digital solution documentation includingdependencies connections mapping user access and roles data matrix and product roadmap.
oEnsure development follows WFP guidelines and directives aligning with relevant stakeholders.
oSupport the development and rollout of security measures including penetration tests vulnerability scansdisaster recovery simulations load tests and cloud infrastructure analysis.
Data Management: o Ensure a common approach to data availability for internal and external reportingtools and on integration layers for internal and external data exchange.
Budget and Resource Management: o Maintain a master development plan with forecast and actual costs toinform budget planning and optimization.
oSupport WFP IT technical supervision and internal approval governance.
Business Continuity and Risk Management: o Interface with TEC for platform fault preparedness to ensurebusiness continuity of services.
oMitigate reputational risks using innovative tools and processes to prevent platform defaults.
Coordination and Collaboration: o Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensurealignment of digital initiatives with organizational goals.
oFoster a collaborative environment across various business lines to enhance digital project outcomes.
oEngage with UN agencies to leverage best practices and integrate solutions across the wider UN system.
As this position will be remotely based in order to be eligible for this position the candidate must have a consistent and reliable internet connection from their remote location.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Education:
Completion of an advanced University degree inInformation Technology Business administrationLiberal Arts or related field or First UniversityDegree in a related field with additional years ofrelevant professional experience.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years post graduate experience withproject management.
Proven track record of planning leading andexecuting related projects.
Experience in a corporate environment.
Experience in coordination with stakeholdersand guidelines harmonization.
Experience in gathering business and userrequirements.
Ability to manage budget resources and risks.
Previous experience in working within the UNsystem is a plus.

Proven experience as digital manager.
Ability to analyze interpret and organizelarge amounts of data.
Has managed large digital transformationprojects requiring innovativerecommendations and approaches.
