The University of Kansas Health System Department of Medicine is seeking a full-timeInternal MedicineHospitalistwho will join the team and support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care as well as satisfying teaching research and academic responsibilities.
The position offers a dynamic opportunity to delivercontinuouscare across inpatient servicesat boththeacademic medical centeron the Main Campus as well asina communitysetting on the Olathe Campus.Patient care is provided inshift scheduling to include dayswingandlimited night shifts shared equally among members of the group.Nocturnist program in place.The role also includes participation in call duties aligning with established practices forhospitalistservices.There will be limited interaction with house staff in a supervisory and triage role.As an academic medical center and health system we offer full sub-specialty support with closed ICU at the main campus.
Additionally there is a strong emphasis on scholarly pursuits including collaborative education and research activities with students and fellows. For those inclined independent research initiatives are encouraged.
Required Qualifications:
MD/DO orequivalent
Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine
Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
