Description

Stephens College invites applications for part-time (adjunct) instructors for Spring Summer and Fall 2026 for the following topics:

  • Introductory courses serving majors and nonmajors in general biology (in person).
  • Introductory courses serving majors in general chemistry (in person).
  • Health Science courses across a variety of topics (in person or online).

Stephens College teaches most courses in a block system wherein courses meet daily over a 3.5 week period (18 course days). Most lecture sessions for on-campus courses are scheduled for 3 hours each day to be completed prior to noon with lab courses also meeting in the afternoon. Asynchronous online courses can be scheduled for 8 or 16 week sessions.


The successful candidate will:

Teach one or more courses in person or online using existing course materials and LMS including lab sections where appropriate.

Requirements
  • Earned M.S. relevant field of assigned course.
  • Desire to teach at collegiate or university level and excellent communication skills.

Highly Desired:

  • Ph.D. in relevant field of assigned course.
  • Experience teaching at the collegiate or university level.
