Job Summary
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Machinist to join our rapidly expanding will perform a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.
This role is based in Tuas Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Uses cutting equipment to prepare specimens for testing as dictated in customer specifications
- Designs sets-up and performs a variety of machining tasks according to customer specifications and requirements
- Machine samples using milling grinding manual lathe and CNC lathe machines
- Help in cutting on bandsaw as required
- Maintaining HSE and 5S standards
- Assist Supervisor in scheduling and managing work schedules as required
- Site work flexibility as and when required
- Flexibility of working timing and shift as scheduled including night shift
Skills / Qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience in the machine-shop will be of advantage
- Must possess Diploma or any relevant Certifications
- Flexible to work in shifts or overtime as required by business demands
- Depth of understanding related to machining concepts measuring instruments and dimensional concepts
- Working knowledge of machine shop safety protocol & 5S requirements
- Flexible to work in other departments & on-site (if required)
