Delivery Manager IT Industrial

Are you passionate about leading others and want to play a key role in the digitalization journey within the business area Industrial at the Nordic regions largest insurance company The Industrial business area is facing exiting challenges and now needs to strengthen our team with an experienced Delivery Manager who has experience of agile ways of working and in building and leading high-performing teams.

About the role

As Delivery Manager you will take both the formal leadership and team lead responsibility for the domains development progress and tech deliveries from operational to strategic areas.

You will lead coach support and challenge your team and together with the Chief Product Owner steer its work. To succeed in this role you have interest in and have good technical understanding as well as documented experience from IT-development in complex IT-environments. With your team youll ensure that current and future business needs are met while addressing IT challenges to build resilient and future-ready capabilities.

The Core Systems domain - one of four in the If IT-unit Industrial - consists of 20 IT professionals located in Stockholm and Riga. Your direct reports have roles such as Developers QA and Scrum Master. Together with other IT- and Business colleagues youll ensure the domains IT deliveries.

Who are you

You currently work in an IT development team inspired by agile methodologies and feel confident in that setting. You understand that a structured development process is essential but not the goal in itself. The goal is to deliver business and IT value and the process is there to support that.

You already have a managerial role with direct reports and are comfortable driving operational tactical and strategic progress. You also understand the importance of stable daily operations and we believe that you have a profound experience and understanding from operational governance.

You find this role interesting because it allows you to continue evolving your leadership skills while keeping a foot in technology to drive challenge and inspire. This role requires strong planning communication and follow-up skills to secure progress and successful deliveries. Youll be accountable for the domains IT deliveries supported by your team. Stakeholder management is a key part of the role which also includes planning budgeting and forecasting responsibilities. You also have:

• 10 years of documented leadership experience within IT (with direct reports)

• Experience in leading and building IT development organizations through strong communication and technical insight

• Solid understanding of IT development both agile and waterfall approaches

• Strong technical background preferably with experience as a developer or architect

• Proven experience in driving tactical and strategic vision work and turning it into actionable plans

• Experience in leading and coaching IT decision-making and change initiatives

• Experience in planning forecasting and follow-up (both financial and delivery)

• Fluency in English spoken and written

• Bachelors degree or higher (e.g. Computer Science or equivalent)

You will report to the Head of IT Industrial be a part of the IT Industrial management team and together with our Nordic organization have great opportunities to influence and contribute to IT Industrials development.
