Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist neurological rehabilitation centre in Leeds. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions.

The centre provides an initial 12-week rehabilitation programme which may be extended based on individual needs. The service is built on a neuro-behavioural approach with a strong focus on enabling people to regain independence and rebuild their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist speech and language therapy to adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including neuropsychologists occupational therapists physiotherapists and rehabilitation support workers.
  • Contribute to personalised rehabilitation programmes that include clinical educational and therapeutic sessions.
  • Support the development of personal social and domestic skills guided leisure activities and vocational training.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development.
  • Promote access to the local community and support behavioural management strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Be HCPC registered and a full member of RCSLT.
  • Have experience working with adults in neurorehabilitation settings.
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.
  • Be proactive organised and committed to delivering high-quality person-centred care.
