About this position:
The Central Maintenance Engineer will be primarily responsible for assisting in the development and execution of electric transmission and distribution assessment programs associated with the Wildfire mitigation program. This individual will help support existing programs along with helping create new programs for the assessment & maintenance of the NorthWestern Energy electric transmission and distribution system in Montana

About this job:
- Evaluate emerging technologies and establish tools for central maintenance programs
- Collect data analyze & provide recommendations based on department needs
- Create issue and evaluate Request for Proposals for contract resources to perform maintenance activities
- Initiate and review contracts and ensure NWE project interests and specifications are appropriately represented prior to contract execution
- Plan evaluate and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures based on company requirements
- Develop schedule cost and scope controls to monitor contractor performance against annual goals
- Lead special projects and utilize change and project management techniques as required
- Assist in developing and managing capital expense budgets
- Travel to job sites off-site meetings and (up to 25% travel per year) including overnight stays when necessary
