Senior Manager Corporate Tax Operations

Were looking for a Senior Manager for our Corporate Tax Operation in Bradford on a permanent contract.

The Senior Manager Corporate Tax Operations will be responsible for building and overseeing the tax operations team responsible for compliance and reporting activities performed within Liberty Shared Services (LSS) on behalf of its customers. This will include agreeing delivery requirements with customers and delivering a service in line with those expectations with a focus on driving a culture of continuous process improvement and efficiency enabled by addition this role will be responsible for scaling the services provided by this team across the Liberty Global federation and third parties.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Work with customers tax and accounting teams to understand enterprise operational requirements for tax processes including detailing tax processes and organization analyzing tax data/calculations/reports and understanding technology environment and interfaces in order to develop the most efficient organisational structure and limit possible exposures and/or errors
• Functions as point of contact for all customer service delivery issues
• Accountable for the governance model in place for service delivery towards customers (e.g. the design and maintenance of scorecards KPI monitoring issue resolution and overall rules of engagement/operating framework)
• Manage a single direct report with a team below this role (currently 3 roles)
• Ensure the team work seamlessly with other LSS teams customers and in particular the LG Tax teams to ensure that Tax technical items are correctly reflected in the Tax returns
• Expand the scope of the LSS Tax team to other/new customers by demonstrating the potential value of the service

The team

The overall objective of the Team is to provide a Tax return service which helps our customers to follow all applicable tax laws and regulations file all of their tax returns on time and to pay the right amount of tax when due in each of the territories where they do business.

Our Team engage with the appropriate accounting tax commercial legal and treasury teams in order to ensure that our goals are met. We aim to provide services that cover multiple local jurisdictions where the tax rules are complex and compliance obligations differ from territory to territory.

Our LSS Tax team is based in Bradford UK. We work alongside LG Tax colleagues predominantly located in London Denver and Amsterdam.

Knowledge Skills & Experience

• ACA or CTA qualified
• Good experience with SAP / Oracle or Hyperion
• Extensive experience of working in a Corporate Tax compliance and/or reporting role
• Continuous process improvement mindset
• Experience working in a matrix environment where relationships with customers and/or other teams and departments is essential to the success of the Team
