Job Summary

As an Oil Scheduler you will manage the efficient and cost-effective movement of crude oil via pipeline marine rail and truck. The ideal candidate will coordinate with traders suppliers terminals refineries and transportation companies to ensure timely scheduling and delivery of crude oil while minimizing exposure to operational and financial risks. This role requires a deep understanding of oil scheduling regulatory compliance and the ability to resolve scheduling challenges in real-time.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute crude oil scheduling plans in coordination with commercial trading teams and refinery planners.
  • Schedule and monitor crude oil movements across various modes of transport including pipeline marine truck and rail.
  • Communicate daily with third-party carriers pipeline operators terminal operators and internal stakeholders to confirm volumes delivery timing and inventory levels.
  • Track and reconcile physical movements and inventories ensuring accurate documentation and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments and stakeholders on analysis review development and implementation of future projects.
  • Provide real-time updates on crude availability quality and delivery timelines to the commercial team.
  • Support month-end close by providing accurate volumetric data inventory reports and shipment confirmations to accounting and finance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Maintain scheduling systems and databases update and audit records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Respond to operational incidents weather delays or equipment outages with contingency planning and rescheduling.

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Engineering or related field.
  • 37 years of experience in crude oil or refined products scheduling trading operations or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. crude oil markets logistics infrastructure and transport modes.
  • Familiarity with industry systems (e.g. RightAngle SAP TABS Allegro or similar logistics/trading software).
  • Excellent communication coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of crude quality specifications and blending.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g. FERC PHMSA DOT regulations).
