GRAS helps agricultural producers processors brand owners traders NGOs scientists and investors to review sustainability risks for individual suppliers sourcing areas or addition GRAS supports certification systems certification bodies and auditors in objective sustainability analysis and verification of land use change.
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic intern who is proficient in software development and has astrong interest inGeographic Information Systems (GIS). The ideal candidate will assist in developing maintaining troubleshooting and optimizing a complex system for geospatial data analysis and visualization. Here you will:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic intern who is proficient in software development and has astrong interest inGeographic Information Systems (GIS). The ideal candidate will assist in developing maintaining troubleshooting and optimizing a complex system for geospatial data analysis and visualization. Here you will:
- Develop and maintaincode for a comprehensive sustainability platform
- Perform spatial data analysis using GIS tools and techniques
- Improve documentation and workflows
- Assist in investigating and resolving customer requests and tickets
Your profile
Essential Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Geoinformatics Information Systems Computer Science Software Engineering Data Science Geography Environmental Science or a related field and will be available for a full-time internship for at least 6 month
- Highproficiency insoftware development including experience programming in Python PHP orR as well as with RESTful APIs
- Experience with version control using Git
- Familiarity with geospatial dataand concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with geospatial packages in Python
- Experience with R packages like Quarto and dplyr as well as LaTeX
- Experience with the Laravel PHP framework
- Experience with GIS tools like QGIS
- Knowledge of AWSand Docker
- Familiarity with project management and/or helpdesk systems such as Jira and Freshdesk.
