This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management worker to join our team here in Transitional housing. As our Housing and Property expert youll support our customers ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service youll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure long-term accommodation!
What youll do
Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of youll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
Help our customers with housing benefit claims making sure that these are received on their rent account.
To support the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy youll turn around vacant or void properties within set timescales. This will involve picking up a broom or paint brush!
Youll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure were compliant.
Youll also manage the admin updating records ordering and arranging payment for works to be done

You have
A background in property management but thats not a deal breaker! Perhaps youve worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks
A can do positive attitude youre proactive and well organised and able to work on your initiative.
A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
The ability to work on your own initiative positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners
Passion for property and get a thrill out of knowing that your properties are the best they can be for our customers!

The practical bits
Work pattern is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Based at our service in Durham youll spend your time travelling around the properties in our County Durham patch.
Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups
To get from A to B youll need a valid driving licence and a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that well pay your mileage!
Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
