Description

ABM Industries is seeking for HVAC Technicians to join our team in Raleigh NC. The HVAC Technician performs maintenance repairs and installation of assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls chilled water systems boilers and various other mechanical electrical and building systems in accordance with client expectations and requests. Ideal candidate will have commercial service experience and/or strong residential service experience. Must be able to understand how systems function and how water temperature and air flow impacts the functionality of HVAC systems.

Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot calibrate and adjust pilots thermostats and burners transformers controls relays heaters elements switches and controls on electrical systems.
Use common tools of the HVAC trade in daily work (e.g multimeter refrigerant gauges charging charts hand tools etc).
Install maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Clean adjust and repair systems and performs warranty services.
Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Assist with customer queries inquiries
Complete other duties as assigned

This opportunity requires no travel outside of the job site a commercial building located in Raleigh NC.

(Full time) 1st shift: 7AM to 3:30PM or 8AM to 4:30PM

This opportunity requires being (on call) at least one weekend every month with potential of more frequent on call duty based on emergency/work needs.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid unexpired drivers license.
Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials.
Must have refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification.
Three (3) years of HVAC experience are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
(Five 3-5) years of HVAC experience is preferred
