Laboratory Technical Associate

Community Memorial Hospital

Full-Time; Weekdays 0900-1730 (Monday-Friday); On-Call Rotation. Every 4th weekend and occasional weeknights

The Laboratory Tech Associate under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager is responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses in hematology chemistry urinalysis serology and microbiology to provide information for diagnosis and treatment of disease. The associate must be able to perform routine maintenance of equipment and be familiar with federal requirements in regards to quality control Medicare compliance and HIPPA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing
  • Analyze hematology chemistry urinalysis serology microbiology
  • Provide information for diagnosis and treatment of disease
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment and be familiar with federal requirements in regard to quality control Medicare compliance HIPAA

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate
  • Bachelors Degree in Biological Chemical or Physical Sciences preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terms
  • Excellent verbal written and clerical skills
  • Complete 3 month on the job training program
  • Familiarity of department policies and procedures
  • Able to meet physical demands required by ADA
