Job Summary
The Teacher for the Visually Impaired provides students with appropriate learning experiences and activities designed to help them in social intellectual and emotional growth. The Teacher for the Visually Impaired organizes and implements an instructional program for visually impaired students to develop competencies and skills to function in a successful and positive manner. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree from an accredited university preferredValid state teaching certificate as required by state regulationsOne year experience as a teacher for the visually impaired preferred Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age
