Are you passionate about food service and eager to make a positive impact in a caring community Trinity Glen is seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Cook to join our team and help deliver exceptional care and culinary experiences to our residents.
About the Role
As a 2nd Shift Cook youll take an active role in preparing and serving delicious nutritious meals collaborating with the Director of Dining Services and supporting our dietary team. Your contributions will ensure our kitchen operates smoothly and our residents enjoy high-quality meals in a safe clean environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare meals according to planned menus meeting special dietary requirements and portion controls.
- Follow standardized recipes and help plan special meals or introduce new menu ideas.
- Train coach and supervise dietary staff to maintain excellent service standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation following daily cleaning schedules.
- Report equipment and supply needs to keep the kitchen running efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma GED or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to follow recipes and understand special diet orders.
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of food sanitation principles.
- Prior cooking experience required.
Working Conditions
- Ability to stand walk lift carry and handle kitchen equipment and food products throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds and work in varied temperature and humidity conditions.
- Personal hygiene standards for Food Service Employees must be maintained.
Schedule & Compensation
- 2nd Shift position with set days and every other weekend rotation required.
- Starting pay: $15 per hour.
