Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nuclear Med Tech you will be a specialized healthcare professional vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.

Every day you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. Youll ensure appropriate patient care recognize conditions essential for successful procedures administer radiopharmaceuticals operate equipment and adhere to strict radiation safety.

To be successful in this role demands current certification advanced technical expertise and an exceptional eye for detail coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.

  • Demonstrated mastery of all Tech I Accountabilities / Responsibilities and have complete a minimum of 1 year
    service in the Tech 1 position
  • Perform invitro/invivo studies as outlined in the nuclear medicine procedure manuals. Make determinations of
    the validity of the data collected before submission for interpretation
  • Mentor new employees and students on the proper use of the camera / computer systems study procedures
  • Assists with the formal clinical/technical education process of the department by preparing and presenting 2 staff
    inservices per year on a topical subject
  • Independently perform all Functions regarding the safe and compliant operation of the radiopharmacy and all
    associated documentation. Educate and mentor qualified staff on proper radio pharmacy procedures

Job Requirements

Required:

  • (3)Three years of Nuclear Medicine experience
  • Medical Radiogrpaher - TX (MRAD)
  • RTN OR CNMT
  • BLS - CPR
