Our client is a nationally recognised planning consultancy with a network of offices across the UK is looking for a driven Associate Director to help lead their planning team and progress into the director role in the near future.
Youll work across a diverse portfolio of residential commercial and mixed-use developments. Youll also play a key role in mentoring junior staff securing new business and working closely with Directors on long-term strategy.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Leading and managing complex planning projects from inception to delivery
- Preparing and reviewing planning applications reports and appeals
- Acting as key client contact and developing lasting relationships
- Representing the business at planning committees public inquiries and hearings
- Supporting business development and contributing to strategic growth plans
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
What Were Looking For:
- MRTPI qualified (essential)
- Strong consultancy or client-side experience (ideally 8 years)
- A proven track record of delivering planning consents and managing complex schemes
- Commercial awareness and confidence in business development
- Excellent communication negotiation and leadership skills
- Local market knowledge of Scotland particularly Edinburgh and the Lothians is advantageous
