Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging high-quality teaching to a Year 1 class in line with the National Curriculum
• Take on middle leadership responsibilities contributing to curriculum development or leading a key subject area
• Support and mentor colleagues to share best practice and raise standards across Key Stage 1
• Use effective assessment to monitor and enhance pupil progress and attainment
• Foster a positive inclusive and nurturing classroom environment where all pupils thrive
• Build strong relationships with pupils parents and colleagues to ensure consistent support for learning and wellbeing
• Play an active role in the wider life of the school including staff meetings events and professional development

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 ideally Year 1
• Demonstrable leadership skills or experience leading a subject or initiative
• Excellent knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
• Strong communication organisational and mentoring abilities
• A reflective proactive approach to professional development
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
