Position Summary: Performs general nuclear medicine examinations including on call services therapeutic procedures and PET/CT patient exams in a hospital based acute care environment. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program or equivalent. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) American Heart Association BLS Preferred: One (1) year post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements Bozeman Health policy and other registry requirements. Performs nuclear medicine quality control measures patient exams and procedures as requested by the medical staff. Assists the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures. Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution billing and archival of exams and procedures Completes documentation for all information required for proper interpretation reporting archiving and retrieval of exams. Verifies written/electronic orders and related health information to insure the timely performance and reporting of NM exams and procedures. Participates in the implementation monitoring and improvement of the hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan. Completes appropriate documentation for the administration receipt/return decay and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance for state and/or federal regulations. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Demonstrates sound judgment patience and maintains a professional demeanor at all times Exercises tact discretion sensitivity and maintains confidentiality Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills Analyzes organizes and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines Schedule Requirements This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational patient or employee needs.
Shift: Day shift Monday-Friday 0730-4:00. Call is an option but not required
