Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Day shift) - Location: Grapevine TX 76051

Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist supports physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures within the catheterization and electrophysiology labs. This role involves direct patient care before during and after procedures as well as technical operation of equipment and monitoring of patient status. The specialist plays a key role in procedure preparation intra-procedural support and post-procedure care while contributing to quality assurance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
- Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is available and functioning.
- Monitor patients vital signs and ECG patterns during procedures.
- Administer routine and emergency care as needed during procedures.
- Provide patient education and pre-/post-procedural instructions.
- Maintain detailed procedural documentation.
- Participate in training and orientation of new staff.
- Perform and report daily monthly and quarterly quality control checks and audits.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications: Education:
- Associate Degree required.
- Graduate of an accredited RCIS-related Technical or Associate Degree program preferred.
Experience:
- New graduates will be considered with appropriate certification.
- 2 years of Cath Lab Electrophysiology (EP) or Vascular experience preferred but not required.
Certifications/Licensure (Must meet at least one of the following):
- ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) and MRT (Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license)
OR - RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
OR - RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
OR - CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist)
OR - CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist).
Other Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Required within 30 days of hire/transfer.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Required within 30 days of hire/transfer.
