Location: McKinney TX 75071

Shift: 10-hr Days 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Job Type: Permanent

Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Cath Lab Tech) provides direct support to physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the catheterization and electrophysiology labs. This includes preparing the procedure room and equipment assisting with patient care monitoring vitals and responding to emergencies. The tech also plays a role in maintaining safety standards training new team members and participating in quality control audits.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist physicians with all invasive procedures in the cath and/or EP lab.
Prepare rooms and equipment for procedures.
Monitor patient condition and provide basic/emergency care as needed.
Maintain sterile field and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Record hemodynamic and electrical data during procedures.
Perform post-procedure patient care and cleanup.
Document all procedures supply usage and patient data accurately.
Participate in orientation and training of new staff.
Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and audits.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associate degree OR
Minimum 2 years of related work experience beyond basic qualification requirements.

Licensure/Certifications (One or more required):

BLS (Basic Life Support) Must obtain within 30 days of hire/transfer.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Must obtain within 30 days of hire/transfer.
AND one of the following:
- ARRT-R (Radiography) MRT (TX Medical Radiologic Technologist License)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
- CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist)
- CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist)
