Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Perform the removal replacement modification or upgrade of aircraft components to correct failures or implement changes.
-
Troubleshoot complex avionics pneumatic hydraulic engine and structural systems and components.
-
Validate and verify testing systems and components.
-
Document maintenance procedures and processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g. repairs test results modifications and inspections).
-
Inspect components and verify repairs meet flightworthiness requirements.
-
Perform tasks related to the safe handling of aircraft.
-
Provide Advanced Skills Management (ASM) certification to government personnel.
-
Apply professional technical expertise to solve complex problems using technical data such as blueprints and manufacturer manuals.
-
Perform maintenance actions in accordance with CNAFINST 4790.2 series procedures.
-
Identify material and tool requirements for daily assignments.
-
Support detachments away from the Main Operating Base (MOB) as needed.
-
Complete temporary assignments to Whidbey Island Washington for up to 8 weeks.
-
Work under minimal supervision.
Requirements:
-
Active Secret Clearance required to start.
-
High School diploma/GED
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in military or civilian aircraft maintenance and/or production.
-
5 years of experience supporting P-8A Poseidon 737 or 4790 maintenance organizations.
-
Experience working with U.S. Navy Advanced Skills Management (ASM).
-
Experience supporting maintenance operations in a military or aerospace environment.
-
Must be willing and able at leaderships discretion to deploy or travel (domestically or internationally) on short notice for various durations to meet customer and contractual needs.
-
Failure to deploy/travel unless for compelling reasons will be considered a resignation.
-
Must be willing to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime; some positions may require rotating shifts.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
