Summary:

• Supports the development and documentation of mechanical fluid and thermal systems.

• Assists in creating maintaining and modifying system designs and proposals to provide clear design documentation and high-level requirements for downstream users and customers.

• Performs detailed design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations.

• Contributes to spatial integration at the system or component level including mechanisms landing gear and ordnance systems.

• Prepares technical documents for mechanical components and systems and assists in proposal preparation and new business development efforts.

• Works under general supervision.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a secret clearance

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

• 2 years of experience in an engineering discipline or a Masters degree with related experience

• Degree must be from an accredited course of study in Engineering Computer Science Mathematics Physics or Chemistry

• Experience with Siemens NX CAD system

• Experience designing flight simulators and aircraft cockpit structures

• Experience designing parts for 3D printing CNC machining and waterjet cutting

• Experience designing packaging for electrical systems

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with general fabrication precision machining and complex assembly techniques

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
