Location: Culver City CA / Austin TX - Hybrid

Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

As a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining scalable high-performance web applications using the Ruby on Rails framework. You will lead technical initiatives mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities
develop and maintain complex web applications using Ruby on Rails.

Architect and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.

Optimize application performance scalability and security.

Collaborate with product managers UI/UX designers and QA engineers.

Lead code reviews and enforce best practices in coding and testing.

Guide and mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Stay updated with the latest Rails features and open-source trends.

Required Skills & Experience

10 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.

Strong understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful API design.

Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript (jQuery React or similar).

Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Heroku) and deployment tools (Capistrano).

Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.

Knowledge of TDD/BDD using RSpec or similar frameworks.

Exposure to DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.
