The Academic Coordinator oversees the quality of teaching and learning across all pre-school classes ensuring that the curriculum lesson plans and educational practices are implemented effectively and consistently. The role involves supporting and guiding teachers conducting regular classroom observations leading training sessions and promoting a warm engaging learning environment that reflects the schools vision for early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum & Instructional Support
Ensure that the pre-school curriculum and educational standards are followed in every class.
Review teachers weekly and monthly planners to ensure alignment with learning objectives.
Conduct classroom observations regularly to monitor teaching quality class routines and childrens engagement.
Provide constructive feedback and hands-on coaching to teachers to help them improve lesson delivery and classroom management.
Demonstrate effective teaching practices by modeling lessons and activities when needed.
Teacher Development & Supervision
Mentor and support teachers and co-teachers through ongoing guidance training and performance reviews.
Organize and participate in professional development sessions for teachers.
Promote teamwork collaboration and a positive school culture.
Assist in evaluating teachers performance and recommending areas for improvement or additional training.
Quality Assurance & Academic Administration
Monitor daily lesson implementation to ensure consistency with the schools curriculum and Montessori/ECE standards.
Collaborate with the Principal and HR team to ensure teachers meet educational expectations and standards.
Keep records of observations teacher feedback and training outcomes.
Support in reviewing and updating curriculum materials and teaching resources.
Classroom & Child-Focused Engagement
Support teachers during classroom activities transitions and events when needed.
Ensure that teaching practices respect childrens developmental stages interests and individual needs.
Foster a safe inclusive and stimulating environment for all students.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education Montessori Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Minimum 35 years of classroom teaching experience with children aged 15.
Solid background and understanding of Montessori principles and Early Childhood Education (ECE) frameworks.
Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
Strong leadership communication and mentoring skills.
Flexible energetic and passionate about early years learning.
Hands-on approachable and supportive attitude toward teachers and children alike.
