Job Summary
If you are an Electrical Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting role for you! Based in our Shakopee MN location the Electrical Supplier Quality Engineer will identify circuit board and/or component solutions to meet design performance requirements and quality expectations per company technology strategies. This person will work closely with design engineers and suppliers to ensure requirements are understood and supplier processes are capable of producing product that meets those requirements at the desired production rate and the best cost.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Act as an internal technology expert on designated processes and commodities supporting Emerson global technology strategies and communicate technical product roadmaps
- Build suppliers understanding of our technical and performance requirements
- Develop and maintain consistent electrical quality management processes between all Emerson global factories
- Influence design engineers to optimize for Design for Sourcing and manufacturability in New Product Development
- Lead evaluation and approval of new suppliers and parts through Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) actively resolve supplier-related issues and non-conformances
- Drive programs crafted to reduce total cost while maintaining quality

For This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or science from an engineering school
- 4 years of applicable experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is$73000-$87000annually commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
