SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR (Permanent)
Our client an established and well-known construction firm in WNY is looking to hire a Senior Construction Estimator to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to join a very successful organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate/competitive estimates are developed and submitted
- Review and analyze project specifications drawings geotechnical data etc. gathering necessary information to create bids
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure labor and supply costs are current
- Participate in pre-project meetings site visits etc. prior to bid submission in order to gather all pertinent informationnoting site conditions logistics and equipment/material required
- Take a proactive approach to completing special projects in a timely manner and ahead of deadlines
- Collaborate with internal team members to develop successful bid strategies discuss project planning and conduct risk management assessments
- Maintain organized records and templates
- Remain up to date on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance is maintained at all times
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- 100% in-office/on-site
- $75000 - $135000 annually depending on experience bonus potential
- Full health coverage for individuals employer-subsidized family plans PTO (relaxed policy)
- Engineering degree is a plus but not required
- 5 years experience in estimating experience in civil construction
- Knowledge of driven piles caissons auger cast piles sheet piling ground improvements etc. is preferred
- Proficient computer skills specifically Excel & various estimating software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work well independently while contributing collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to travel within NYA for site assessments
- Relocation not available
